How to Style Biker Shorts
Biker shorts are super fun and super cute for the summer. If you were thinking of sticking to your trusty black ones, then just hold on a second because you can wear biker shorts in all sorts of different colors and prints. Let me show you how.
Printed perfection
First up, I went with a zebra print set. I love wearing matching shorts and crop top sets because they look so put together and well-coordinated. As the set is patterned, I’ve finished it off with a basic plain blazer. Some simple accessories add the finishing touches to this look - I’m wearing a bit of jewelry, shades, a headband, and my shoes have a pretty gold chain detail.
Pop of pink
Here I’m wearing a pair of bright pink shorts, and I’ve paired them with chunky sneakers, a graphic tee, and a denim jacket, all of the elements for a streetwear chic look. A roomy bag is a perfect accessory, with plenty of space for all of your essentials and then some. This is a perfect weekend look.
Fedora fab
Next up, I’ve styled the zebra print shorts with a beige leather shacket and a wide brim fedora. Leather (and faux leather) is a high-end, chic material; it elevates whatever you wear it with and takes your outfit to the next level. I really like how the two shades of beige in this outfit complement one another. On my feet, I have a pair of sneakers for a comfy finish.
Tucked in, tucked out
Here I’m rocking a pair of bright pink shorts with an oversized shirt tucked in on one side and untucked on the other for a bit of asymmetrical interest. For a fun element, I’ve added some leopard print mules. The bright pants really are the focal point of the look. Go for this look if you’re not afraid of making a statement.
Belted blazer
This wraparound blazer look gives the humble biker shorts an elevated spin. I went with a pair of gray biker shorts for something a little more toned down than the ones I’ve shown you up until now. The leather fanny back doubles up both as a belt that accentuates my waist and a bag that I can store things in. To top it off, I’ve added a pair of shades for a boss-lady “don’t mess with me” look.
Fluorescent focus
In this look, I’ve used some complimentary pink and red tones for my color palette. The fluorescent pink biker shorts work really well with the dusty pink of the bucket hat, and the maroon blazer makes for a harmonized look. A graphic tee adds a bit of fun and personality.
Summer silk
Lastly, I’ve folded a silk scarf in half for an easy and summery look and have tied it across my chest to create a cute top. I went with a scarf with a green border around it, which matches perfectly with the green detailing on my loafers. I also like the contrast between the patterned blazer and the plain gray shorts.
Those are my biker short looks, and none of them use black ones! I encourage you to add some flair to your summer wardrobe by opting for a bright color or a print. If you do want to go for something that is a bit more toned down, there are other color options out there; I went for gray pants in some of my looks. Whatever style you go for, ultimately have fun, and wear something that makes you feel great.
