Hello my loves! Let's chat about one of my absolute favorite trends right now: matching sets! They're not only incredibly stylish but also incredibly easy to wear. Feeling unsure about how to rock this trend? No worries, I've got you covered with three simple tips.

If you haven't hopped on the matching set bandwagon yet, now's the time to do it. Why? Because matching sets are not only ridiculously cute but also super convenient. Seriously, who doesn't love an outfit that's already perfectly coordinated?

Matching sets come in all shapes, sizes, and styles, making them a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Whether you're into bold prints, classic stripes, or sleek solids, there's a matching set out there for you. Plus, they're great for those days when you're in a rush and need to put together a killer outfit without overthinking it.

I made this vest and skirt set myself. If you're dying to recreate the look, you can learn how by watching this sewing vlog. If not, you can also check out my favorite cozy skirt and vest set on Amazon here!

Tip 1 - Mix and Match: I love breaking up my matching sets and mixing them with other pieces in my wardrobe. Try pairing the top with your favorite high-waisted jeans or styling the bottoms with a contrasting blouse for a look that's uniquely you.

Here, I took the top from my favorite spring set and paired with with an airy skirt for summer.

Tip 2 - Layer with Confidence: Layering is key to making your matching set stand out even more. Throw on a denim jacket, a cozy cardigan, or a stylish blazer over your set to add depth to your look and adapt it to different weather conditions.

For example, I love polishing off my all-time favorite DIY lounge set with this cozy grandpa cardigan. It elevates the look by adding extra shot of color and texture, making even this at-home outfit look and feel more elevated and complete.

Tip 3 - Choose a Color to Highlight: If you're wearing a set with a pattern, a great way to ground the look and make the set look more cohesive is to pull one of the colors from the set and highlight it.

Because this skirt and vest set features a busier pattern, I decided to feature one of the colors from the print (black). Layering this set with a black top, black tights, and black heels not only makes this outfit more polished, but it also adds depth and helps settle down an otherwise busy print.

Ready to elevate your style game with matching sets? Follow these tips and you'll be turning heads wherever you go. Get ready to slay, fashionistas!
