DIY: How to Make a Reusable Sanitary Pad
Looking for ways to reuse you fabric scraps? Learn how to make reusable sanitary pads so you can save money and help the environment!
STEP 1: Download and print the pattern for free. Make sure you print it at a 100% scale. Cut the pattern once on the fabric at the top of the pad, once in the wick, once in the PUL, and once in the fabric at the bottom of the pad.
STEP 2: Pin the absorbent fabric with the main fabric. Pin the PUL fabric with the bottom fabric. Sew along the edge to join.
STEP 3: Sew a stitch across the top of the pad.
STEP 4: Pin the top of the pad with the bottom of the pad RIGHT to RIGHT. Leave a 2 ”(5cm) gap to then flip the pad over when fully assembled. Sew. Turn around. Iron.
STEP 5: Sew a decorative stitch around the entire pad.
