How to make over a t-shirt neckline
Cut the neckline

To get an amazing new neckline on your T, start cutting! Fold the T-shirt in half and cut 1.5 inches from the shoulder and 3 or 4 inches from the neckline.

Measure the elastic
Measure the elastic

To get the ultimate, new neckline, measure the elastic to about half the length of the neckline. If you like a looser feel, make it a little longer!

Sew the new neckline.

Start by folding the freshly cut neckline just a little over the width of the elastic. Pin it in place and stitch close to the edge of your fold. Make sure to leave a small gap in the stitching, to put your elastic through!

Pull the elastic through

Attach a safety pin to one end of the elastic and pull it through the gap in your stitch. Once the elastic is through, sew the two ends together. Make sure to stitch closed the gap you left earlier!
