With facemasks as a part of our everyday wardrobe, why not make them as comfortable as possible? I decided to make a facemask out of a sock and the best part is, there was no sewing involved. All I needed was a pair of scissors and I was well equipped to make a comfortable, no-sew facemask. If you want to learn how to DIY this simple face mask, this tutorial is for you! Follow this 3 step guide and learn how to make your own facemask from nothing but a sock and a pair of scissors.
The first step to this amazing no-sew facemask is cutting your sock just a bit further up from the toe.
Next, cut the top of the sock open to get a greater surface area for your mask.
Fold the sock and make a slit. Make sure you aren’t cutting the side with the heel. This slit will make your two ear holes in your easy to make facemask.

Nice idea but it will not protect you. Socks basically are knitted fabric and with a knit comes holes no matter how small. Not sure if this suggestion will work but line the inside with fusible non woven interfacing. It is still far from perfect but better than just the sock. Thank you for sharing your idea and process.
