How to Style a Sweater 5 Ways

Hi friends! My name is KariAnne and I love fashion. Truly.

I love it so much that I think about it and plan outfits and dream about how to put things together. But my challenge? I've always been too heavy to feel comfortable in my clothes. But now?

I've been on a weight loss journey recently and I've lost over 30 pounds. So to challenge myself and step COMPLETELY outside my comfort zone? I'm showing the real me.

I still have so much farther to go on this weight loss journey, but I thought it would be fun to show a few looks I've been styling along the way. I found this AMAZINGLY inexpensive sweater on Amazon and put together 5 different (super affordable) looks.

Look 1

I kept it super simple. I started with this sweater in maroon. It comes in TONS of different colors and patterns. I love this option and this option, too.

I paired it with black jeggings. I found this pair from Walmart that I love. They are so affordable and they have extra stretch.

These leopard slip on shoes are from Target. YOU NEED THESE. They are the perfect leopard color and fit really well. I'm wearing a 6.5. The Time and Tru brand has really held up for me in the wash, too. I'm wearing a large in the sweater and large in the pants for size reference.

Look 2

I was actually surprised at how much I liked this look when I photographed it. The white shirt is one I bought a long time ago. It's sleeveless with a peter pan collar that's designed to go under sweaters. I put it under this same sweater in maroon and paired it with jean jeggings.

I LOVE these jean jeggings (again from Walmart). They fit so well and are the perfect length to wear with boots. I'm wearing a large in the sweater and large in the pants for size reference.

Look 3

I've always dreamed of wearing plaid pants. Sigh. These are from Walmart and they are super affordable. I paired them with same sweater in maroon and black flats.

The pants are super stretchy with a side zipper. I bought them in several other patterns, too. I'm wearing a large in the sweater and large in the pants for size reference.

Look 4

I loved this look for the football game. This simple patterned poncho wrap has a different pattern on each side. One side is this plaid and the other is navy with woven stripes. It comes in tons of other color options, too. It's so warm and perfect to toss on as you head outdoors.

I paired it with the same sweater and jeans that are rolled up with a frayed hem and tan leather flats. Here are some that are similar from Walmart. I'm wearing a large in the sweater and a 14 in the pants for size reference.

Look 5

This was my husband's favorite look. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes! They came from Target and they're super comfortable and furry on the inside.

I paired them with the same sweater and these khaki pants from Walmart. I'm wearing a large in the sweater and large in the pants for size reference.

Thank you so much for helping me step out of my comfort zone.

Let me know if you like this post and I'll work on creating more like this!

Happy day friends!

KariAnne
