How to Style Blazers

As part of my I’m featuring a new look each week with different styles that feel so right during the Fall. I do a new look every day on Instagram with a video with tips and tricks on how to style the outfits. Each post is linked to LIKEtoKNOW.it with suggestions for your favorite pieces. Click on the photos to check them out!

5 days – 5 outfits and here’s the round up! PLUS a bonus day with LIKEtoKNOW.it links, as well!

DAY 1

I started with a straightforward Boyfriend Blazer by @liverpooljeans and paired it with a fun sparkly Star sweater and a high rise bootcut from @7forallmankind – and a bootcut calls for a bootie – these are my favorite @thefryecompany 👢

DAY 2

Rock the uniform!

I talk a lot about how we believe in “uniforms” for so many different occasions – mainly for work. You can wear a suit or a blazer and skirt while inserting your own personal style – like this band tee which screams JEN! I can’t help it – I just love to wear graphic tees in more formal settings.

By adding your own take on the work uniform, you’re giving everyone something to remember you by. It doesn’t have to be a t-shirt – it can be a pair of straight leg jeans with a cami and blazer or suit jacket. It can be the jewelry that you love that says something personal about you. But give them a fun memory of you when there are so many standard uniforms around you.

Today’s blazer is another Liverpool Jeans- I have to be honest, they are comfy, stretchy and you can throw them in the washer! I went to their site to link a few to my LIKEtoKNOW.it post and they have some AMAZING prints this season. The plaids are fantastic! I paired it with my Fleetwood Mac Rumours t-shirt that I can tie at the waist to make it more body contouring along with the pencil skirt. Finished with my Apple watch, layered rings hoop earrings and of course some high pumps! 👠

DAY 3

Dressing it up!

I love the look of a Blazer with a dress – and there are so many dress styles to choose from!

This is a look I’d wear to a speaking engagement or a meeting with a more conservative dressed clientele. But you can also style this cream blazer for a boho look with a long flowy maxi dress, a cute Panama hat and layered necklaces! So many looks could be made with this one blazer.

When you have a good blazer and a basic dress, you have a look to bring you from day to night with just the addition of accessories and switching out your footwear.

DAY 4

Peel back the Layers 🧅

One of my absolute favorite looks for Fall is layering jackets – you may think, sure I wear a fun jacket and then throw my coat or a warmer jacket over it until I get to my destination. But I’m talking layering jackets as a STYLE.

I adore the blazer over denim look – it’s so much fun and so dimensional. And you can peel off the layers – mix them up while you’re out and the weather changes. Add a big scarf as yet another layer to celebrate the Fall chill.

I’ve layered this boyfriend blazer over my trucker denim jacket (told you it would be back) and a pair of Wedgie straight leg jeans. I love how the length of the hem hits these boots . You can go with a boot with a heel or throw on a pair of high tops or low top sneakers.

You can find exact pieces and suggestions on my LIKEtoKNOW.it post – make sure you have the app and then take a screenshot of this post and find the links in the post! I highly recommend checking out the blazer – it’s comfortable, stretchy and machine washable!

DAY 5

Day 5 of Blazers Week – the DRAMA! 🎭

Not all blazers are straight lace all business pieces – you can find the blazer that fits your pizazz – your “flare” 😁

I adore this Free People bell sleeve blazer – it is ALL the drama a girl could want. It’s linen. It’s flowy. It screams – Christine! Get me the AXE 🪓 😂

I’ve styled it with a crisp dark wash but bright blue Paige mid rise super skinny – the exact style is linked in today’s LIKEtoKNOW.it post, as well as a few other dramatic dark wash choices. And of course a pump!

The bag is from Rachel Zoe Curateur subscription box and it is divine! So easy to carry everything I need when meeting up with a client for wardrobe reorganization or shopping!

BONUS!

here’s a throwback to the  LEGGINGS and blazers!

You can pull this off with longer shirts to, as I’ve mentioned before, cover the nether region that may be sitting snug in those cotton leggings. These leggings are made with a ponte fabric – it’s a double woven cotton that is thicker and softer than a regular cotton. Ponte doesn’t cling as much, but I still follow the idea that you don’t want to show TOO much 😁

My favorite leggings are from Lysse New York – I get all my fashion leggings from them because they are very well made and you can’t see through them at all. They have a high waist and feel so snug and comfy. I’ve linked these specific leggings in today’s LIKEtoKNOW.it post I’ve also linked 2 great white buttondowns from Lyssé – the Schiffer shirt has the best no wrinkle fabric and is longer so it fully covers the bum and front. The second is more like the fitted one I’m wearing. The blazer is the Liverpool Jeans I’ve been featuring all week (also linked on the shoppable post).
