Winter to Spring Transitional Style

Hang up those oversized sweaters, spring is here!! Luckily living in the south, it already feels like spring/summer here, but I grew up in the mid Atlantic, so I know how one day it’ll be 40° and the next day 75° No matter where you live, I’ve got four different outfit ideas to take you into the season in colorful style

I’ll start with the outfit I’m wearing today. Layering was necessary since it was in the low 70s this morning when I got my son on the bus, and is now a humid 81°. For those of you with cooler mornings, the sleeves on this Lularoe Valentina button up top roll down to long sleeves, making it year round versatile. I paired it with a halter crop top from Klassy Network (built in bra = winning) and some high waisted scalloped shorts, making it less risqué for those of us who aren’t in their 20s anymore

Here’s how I’m currently wearing it, sans the button down top. I’m cool and comfy while chasing my kids around, while staying stylish and age appropriate at the same time.

Nothing screams spring like Lilly Pulitzer and white pants, so I’ll be wearing my LP on repeat until fall This 3/4 sleeve top is lightweight and comfy for cooler spring days, and these Spanx jeggings are my favorite year round. If you’re a mom like me, have a Tide pen ready for sticky kid fingers when wearing white...or anything for that matter

I love a good moto jacket and anything that sparkles and shines, and this one from Lularoe perfectly matches my rose gold Tieks. I paired it with my rainbow Lularoe Amelia dress here, but it’s definitely another year round staple to take your clothing from cooler temps to warmer ones.

I saved one of my favorite outfits for last. Pastels are perfect for your spring wardrobe, even if it’s still on the cooler side where you live. This rainbow cardigan is a wardrobe staple and one of my most worn pieces, especially in the early days of spring. I recently snagged these pastel yellow jeans from Target and the sequin tank from Red Dress Boutique and will surely be wearing both depending on our weather. If sparkles aren’t your style, another lighter colored top would work as well.
