Do you remember the 80’s cartoon, Jem? I used to love that show as a kid and I wanted to makes some fun Jem inspired earrings. You can wear these earrings as part of a a full costume on Halloween or just went you want some pink sparkly bling with your outfit!

This is an easy Halloween costume for all you Jem fans. All you need is some sparkly pink paper, earring bases and some 1980’s make up and clothes. 80’s style has been trendy for a while now so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get this Jem and the Holograms costume together.

Materials:

  • Pink sparkly foam paper
  • silver earring backs
  • scissors
  • super glue

Draw stars on the back of the sparkly foam paper. Start with a 5 point star and add an extra point in each corner.

Cut out the stars and glue the earring backs to the top end of each of the stars. Test out the placement before you add the glue to make sure it will sit on the correct part of your ear when the earrings are inserted. If you place the earring base in the middle of the star it might sit too high up on your ear.

Wait at least 30 minutes for the glue to completely dry and then you can wear your new earrings!
