7 Easy Ways to Style a Scarf Scrunchie

A low ponytail is such a sleek elegant look. This is a great hairstyle for work or the office. First, pull hair back into a tight low ponytail and secure with a rubber band. Then wrap the scrunchie around the rubber band. Smooth down any fly-aways with hairspray or gel. For a messy/undone look, pull a few strands of hair from the front of the face out of the ponytail.

This look is one of my favorites because it is such an simple way to luxe up a classic ponytail. To begin, pull back your hair into a low ponytail. Next, part your hair in the middle, just above the rubber band (you may need to pull the rubber band down away from the scalp). Last, take the ponytail and flip it up into the parted hair. Be sure to pull the ponytail completely through. Wrap the scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

The classic ponytail. I think this look is great for casual daytime occasions First, brush hair thoroughly and pull into a high ponytail at the crown of your head. Then smooth out hair with a brush and secure the ponytail with a rubber band. Use hairspray to smooth out the fly-aways. Wrap the scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

This is a great hairstyle for all hair lengths and types. Start by separating a section of hair, starting from the ears and continuing to the back of head. Then smooth down the separated section with a brush to create one clean section. Secure with a rubber band. Wrap scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

***You can also use this method to create a half-up half-down top knot. Separate the same section of hair, starting from the ears and continuing to the back of the head. Smooth down the separated section with a brush. Next, take a rubber band and wrap it once around the hair. As you pull the hair through a second (or third, depending on the thickness of your hair) time, only pull it through 3/4 of the way. Lastly, tuck the loose ends under the rubber band and pull open the half-pulled through hair to make a messy top knot. Wrap the scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

Do not be intimidated by this beautiful braid. I think it is WAY easier to do than a french braid. Pull your hair back as if you are making a low ponytail. Then divide your hair into two equal sections (so it looks like you have 2 low ponytails). Separate a 1/2 inch section of hair from the outer side of the left ponytail. Pull this piece of hair across the top of the left ponytail (be sure not to twist it) and add it to the right ponytail. Separate a 1/2 inch section of hair from the outside of the right ponytail. Bring that section across the top of the right ponytail and add it to the left ponytail. Repeat these steps until your hair is no longer long enough to pullover. Secure the braid with a rubber band. Wrap the scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

This braid is so beautiful but it does require some practice. Once you have the technique down, it is a great hairstyle to know how to do. Begin by gathering a large chunk of hair at the top center of your head (similar to doing a smaller and higher half ponytail). Divide this chunk into three equal sections. Next, start to weave these sections into a traditional braid. After each section has been braided, it is time to add in new hair. Continue the braiding sequence but each time you cross a section over, add new hair by grabbing a section of hair by the face and including it in the crossover. Continue this adding and crossing pattern until you have no new hair to add. This should happen right at the base of the neck. Secure braid with a rubber band. Wrap the scarf scrunchie around the rubber band.

I like big buns and I cannot lie. But all jokes aside, this doughnut bun is effortlessly elegant and an easy updo to make if you need to look fancy in a pinch. First, pull your hair back into a tight high ponytail. Then take a doughnut hair bun maker and place it at the base of the ponytail. Pull your hair through the doughnut hole and pull the doughnut away from the base of your head to the end of your ponytail. Tuck the ends of your ponytail around and under the doughnut and start to roll the donut down your ponytail. Continue the tucking and rolling, smoothing hair, as you move down the ponytail. Separate hair evenly around the doughnut. Wrap a rubber band around the bun to smooth out the hair. Use bobby pins to secure the bun and wrap the scarf scrunchie around the bun.
