Super Easy Tie-Dye Shoes DIY
Everybody’s doing it! Tie-dye is the latest trend, and today I’m going to show you how I created a pair of tie-dyed canvas sneakers. This DIY is such a simple project, so much fun to do, and the final result is super cool. So grab a pair of sneakers, and let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- A pair of white canvas sneakers
- Colored Sharpie markers
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Empty spray bottle
Color the shoes
Before starting this project, I removed the laces from the shoes. Then, I colored the shoes with Sharpie markers. I used pink and turquoise, but you can use any colors you want, and as many as you want. I made sure to leave a little bit of space between the colors, so they would blend together nicely when I spray them with alcohol.
Spray with alcohol
When I finished coloring the shoes, I filled the empty spray bottle with alcohol and sprayed it all over the shoes.
Rub it in
I used my fingers to rub the alcohol into the colored parts of the shoes.
Let it dry
I continued spraying and rubbing the colors until I was happy with the final result. Then, I set aside the shoes to let them dry. Once they’re dry, they’re done!
Decorate
Of course, I had to add some bling to my shoes, but you can leave them as is, or decorate them any way you like.
