3 Ways to Style A Faux Leather Skirt
Going into the warmer season I try to take advantage of all the "fall" items in my closet.
One of those is faux leather skirt looks. Now, I don't know about you but these looks are my all-time favorite when it comes to spicing up a look.
The faux leather gives it an appeal you can't beat. But, for the warmer, and brighter seasons you want to mix it up with some bright colors or patterns.
I paired my faux leather skirt with a graphic tee for a casual and easy style. Graphic tees literally go with anything! I have used them in a lot of my past style guides and they never disappoint.
Re-purposing your closet when transitioning seasons, you want to maximize the number of styles you can get from one item. This skirt is the definition of that.
I swapped out my graphic tee for a button-up cardigan. Typically, I would be wearing this with boots/booties with a heavier cardigan version in the fall. But, we are transitioning into Spring, so definitely go with the "lighter" version.
This is a versatile look, and I almost went with tennis shoes for an even more dress-down feel.
For this look, I wanted to bring out the sassy! I paired the skirt with a floral pattern for a Spring feel. I also tend to miss booties but it is still cool enough to pull them off. I went with some open-toed booties and it really pulled this look together!
Repurposing your closet can really give you a bang for your buck! When choosing items to buy, try to imagine what seasons they can be used for and what you can pair with it to make it season "appropriate"!
