New Spring Trend Alert!
Okay, I've seen this trend on IG now too many times not to say anything...
because I know you'll love it!
That trend is silk/satin short skirts!
We've seen in previous seasons, long silk/satin skirts... and this is the norm.
And while it doesn't seem groundbreaking, I have never seen this before! (and this is why fashion is so fun)
Shorten the silk/satin skirt, and all of the sudden you have an entirely new, youthful look.
Pair it with a more masculine top and chunky sneakers (androgyny is the theme of modern fashion for sure).
I also recommend going for bright colors! Satin/silk materials show off colors in such a beautiful way, it would be a shame not showcase it!
And again, contrast the femininity of a bright satin/silk skirt with a neutral or even dark color like black or grey.
And as always, take a trend and make it your own! If you like more fitted/body con skirts then go for that. If you prefer more flow-y, skater skirts, then opt for that cut instead!
Trends are to be appreciated, but also customized so that your personality doesn't get lost along the way.
