Today I get to introduce you to the most beautiful, whimsical wrap dress pattern called Flor from Bella Loves Patterns.

I was fortunate enough to have tested for Isabela from Bella Loves Patterns. I had a sewing friend tell me how she had seen a sneak peak of a new dress that resembled a dream dress I had been telling her about. So I went straight to Bella Loves Patterns instagram page and fell in love with more than just that sneak peek. Isabela’s patterns were so pretty. The details are stunning and from that moment I was hooked. So I messaged Isabela asking about the release of this new pattern. She mentioned it still needed to be tested and if I wanted I could sign up to be a potential tester. I wasn’t going to miss out so I crossed my fingers and signed up! Guess who got to test? This girl right here and I was beyond excited!

So here I am in my two testers. The pattern included FBA pattern pieces in a C cup and D cup. I was so happy to hear this. I made the C cup version. My first tester was my navy version. It was so cute but I did have a slight gape in the neckline so I let Isabela know and she offered her expertise and I realised I definitely cut 2 sizes too big. That’s what testing is about. So my second version was the floral and it fit like a dream. So naturally I went back and adjusted my navy version which also fits impeccably. The ruffles just really make this piece and it’s just so comfortable too. I ended up making the size 16 in the C-cup and taking a total of three 1/2” increments off the front wrap piece. I also shortened the bodice an inch. But these changes were tailored to my body so I would definitely recommend toiling to get the perfect fit for you. Trust me, it’s well worth the results.

Both my pieces were made out of fabric I picked up at a garage sale. The floral is vintage fabric that I have a whole bolt of and the navy feels like a linen but I’m not too sure. They are so divine and special. I cannot wait to make many more in this pattern. May even make one with sleeves! The possibilities are endless. So if you love pretty clothes you definitely need to check out Bella Loves Patterns. You will not be disappointed.
