After sewing this 1950's dress, I was so excited to determine how to style it for warm Spring and Summer days. I made this dress out of vintage sheets found at a thrift store and the fabric has the most beautiful, delicate white flowers. With that in mind, I thought I would match my accessories with the white flowers in the dress .

With this outfit I chose to wear my pearl necklace as they add elegance and timeless beauty to an outfit. The pearls also paired nicely with my white 1970's vintage heels that have a delicate bow at the tow. Together they add a touch of delicate femininity to this beautiful vintage style dress.

Dresses such as this one were worn with a belt in the 1950's. It could either be a belt made with the same fabric as the dress or a statement belt. For this blue and white number I chose a thin, white belt, which paired perfectly with this piece. This dress has a beautiful, full skirt, and adding a belt helps to accentuate the waist just a little bit more.

This is the pattern from 1956 that I used to make this dress.
