White jeans yay or nay? Where do you stand?
White Jeans: Yay or Nay?
I’m going to be honest, until a few years ago I didn’t own a pair of white jeans thinking they’re not practical. But when I saw how they REALLY refreshed an outfit that I typically would wear with dark denim I was convinced! When I finally found a fit that was right for me they became what I refer to as a wardrobe winner™️. Wardrobe winners refer to the pieces that I select for you based on your body shape, style personality and lifestyle. Knowing these key things about yourself completely takes the guesswork out of buying clothes and makes getting dressed a moment of self care and confidence that sets the tone for your day!
Here I've paired thesethese Old Navy high rise skinny jeans (for the record, at our age we're definately not taking style advice from Gen-Z, so yes we are still wearing skinny jeans!) with pieces I already own that I'm sure you have a version of in your closet to put together a few key outfits for you from work from home, to virtual date night to walks with the fam. As we start to go out again, white jeans definitely add the most bang for your buck when looking to refresh and update your existing outfits. Swap out your existing denim for a pair and you will see for yourself. Instant refresh! Inside and out!
I know that as we age we tend to shy away from white as it makes things appear larger. However trust me when I say that paired with the right proportions in a fit for your body shape, you will fall in love with them! This is the difference between shopping versus shopping in A Styled State of Mind!
So tell me, are you on board with white jeans?

White jeans are fine as long as the fit and length does not cut the line of the body. Some people look fine in high waters, others look stunted because of how high the hem is. Consider how tall you are, your body shape, the cut and fit and length of the pant no matter if white or not. Trends are fine but if they make you look like a sausage cinched all over the place and looking like you are ready to burst, then consider saying no to the trend. Also do not think a tight crotch known lovingly(lol) in the 70's / 80's as a camel toe is a good look. Pants need to have a great fit.
