Spring + Summer can be brutal days for heat and humidity. I am always looking for great looks that will keep me cool. After all, there's more than just cut-off shorts + bathing suits, yes?? During the spring months, I definitely love to incorporate lots of color and fun statement accessories. I try and carry that out throughout the summer too...but sometimes you want to be toned down and be natural in your clothing. This is where simple closet pieces come in handy. A simple black midi dress that is simple, chic, and also made with breathable materials is key during the hottest months of the year. Most of the time I take advantage and buy a few in multiple colors. Trust me this is a good thing! And you can also take them on vacations you may have planned. Let me show you how I styled this dress in 4 different ways.

Here I add a basic animal print t-shirt and tied it at the front and then, threw on a denim jacket.

I love how adding a basic t-shirt on top of the dress can change up the look.

This is really basic + by adding a luxury or detailed sandal it can take it up a few notches.

The tan blazer is great for the office or an evening event you want to keep casual but chic.

A chambray top is fabulous especially to break up the dress and show curves. It can also double as a cardigan for colder places.
