DIY painted shoes

Painted shoes

Paint the shoes

The first step is to fill the shoes with newspaper (so that they maintain their shape) and tape off all of the areas that you don’t want to get paint on. For example, the soles. Next, take your brush or sponge (I prefer a sponge when it comes to leather shoes) and very carefully work two coats of paint into the shoes. By taking the time to carefully rub the paint into the shoes, you will prevent any paint cracking in the future.

How to paint shoes

Add polka dots

To create perfect polka dots, grab a q-tip and use the tip to add white spots to the shoes. Do this by popping some paint on the end, dabbing off the excess, and creating your perfect polka dots. Finally, finish the shoes by adding a coating of spray varnish and allowing the shoes to dry overnight.

Easy painted shoes

These easy-painted shoes have lasted since 2013! They are so simple to make! You can even get creative with the design and color to create a look that you really love!
