How to Style a White Skirt

In this style guide, I’m going to show you five different looks that I created with the same white skirt. You can get so much out of your wardrobe by doing this - taking one item of clothing and styling it multiple ways. The white skirt that I’m using is a midi-length denim one. Let’s jump on in!

How to style a white skirt

Graphic tee

For the first look, I’ve paired the skirt with a graphic tee. To accessorize, I added a white belt with a gold buckle. I wanted to dress the outfit up a bit, so I paired it with a pair of open-toed heels, but you could wear sneakers if you want to dress the outfit down. Lastly, I added a red handbag to match the t-shirt, and the gold detail on it ties in well with the belt.

Floral top

Here I’m wearing the skirt with a floral printed top which gives off girly and romantic vibes. The black color contrasts really well with the skirt. Not only do I love the floral print, but I also love the ruffle details on the sleeves. For shoes, I added a pair of pink flats which bring out the pink in the top. I also added a dusty pink bag to add a bit more pink to the look.

Mustard

This mustard top is the same as the floral top, just in a different color. It also has the gorgeous ruffle detail sleeves, which are fun and give the top a bit of personality. For shoes, I’ve gone for white strappy sandals that tie up around the calf. They dress up the look instantly. To finish the look off, I added a tweed bag with a gold chain and some pearl trim around it.

Black tee

In this look, I’m wearing another graphic tee that says ‘nothing to wear’ for a casual, dressed-down look. I added a black belt with gold detail for a subtle accessory that cinches in my waist. On my feet, I’m wearing a color block pair of chunky sneakers. These sneakers are the perfect balance of chic and comfortable. To top it off, I have a black bag with gold details.

Monochrome

Last but not least, we have an all-white, monochrome look. I have a white tank top with gold button details with a bit of frill on the bottom. I went for brown sandals that have a bit of snake print on the side, as these add a bit of detail to the look and keep it from looking bland. To accessorize, I added a round wicker bag. This look is super simple yet very chic.

Those are our five outfits; I hope you like them. Whatever occasion you’re dressing for, there is a way that you can incorporate your white skirt into the outfit. Changing up the tops, shoes, and accessories can create very different looks. The skirt is so versatile, and you can really make the most out of it by wearing it in lots of different ways.
