3 Different Ways to Wear a Bandana to Protect Hair & Keep Cool
In this hair tutorial, I’ll show you three different ways to wear a bandana. Bandanas are one of the hottest trends of the summer. They protect your hair, keep your head cool, and also look stylish! Plus, they're easy to style.
Tools and materials:
- Square bandana
- Hair clip
- Hair spray
Bandana Style 1: Classic
Pull your hair back with a hair clip. Fold the bandana into a triangle. Put the long side of the triangle on your forehead and tie the ends at the back of your head under your clipped hair.
Then you can slide the front of the scarf back on your head a little bit to expose the front of your hair.
Now, undo your hair clip to let your hair down again.
And there you go! This is the simplest way to wear a bandana.
Bandana Style 2: Classic with a twist
Pull a few locks of hair to the front of your face. Tie on the scarf as you did in Style 1. Apply a little hair wax or hair spray to the exposed front locks. It's that easy!
Bandana Style 3: Pirate style
For this bandana style, you do not need to clip your hair.
Place the front of a triangle-folded bandana on your forehead. Now wrap the ends to the back of your head and tie them over the pointed end of the bandana.
Don’t make your scarf too tight, as that will make your head look disproportional. Once tied, pull it a little bit looser with your hands.
There you have it! Three different ways to wear a bandana - I told you they were easy!
Besides wearing a bandana on your head, you can also style a bandana as a belt, bag strap, or wrist strap. Just do whatever works for you and don’t take yourself too seriously!
