What to Wear to a Casual Summer Wedding - 6 Stunning Outfit Ideas

Not sure what to wear to a casual summer wedding? Keep reading! There are so many options out there, and whether you're going to a beach wedding, a rustic wedding, or a backyard wedding, I'm going to show you six affordable and elegant outfit ideas!

Affordable dresses for a summer wedding

1. Black and white wedding outfit

For the first outfit, I'm wearing an all-black perforated dress -perfect for a black and white wedding, as monochrome weddings are in these days. The dress is a bit see-through, but it has a long cami underneath. The dress has a little bit of ruffle on the bottom, which is such a pretty feature.

I added a pair of statement black tassel earrings. Jewelry is always key when dressing up for a wedding because it can give an outfit a nice complete look.

For shoes, I went for a pair of red mules to add a pop of color to an all-black outfit. If the red shoes are too bold for your liking, though, you can go for a pair of black heels instead.

Lastly, I added a black bag with gold details, which finishes off this chic and sophisticated outfit.

2. Rustic wedding outfit

Next up, we have a loose satin midi dress. I feel that this style of dress is perfect for a more rustic style, daytime wedding. I love the richness of the burnt-orange color, and I love how simple yet chic this dress is.

Again, I'm going to be accessorizing with a pair of statement earrings, and they are a pair of tassel earrings in a brown color.

For the shoes, I went with a pair of open-toed nude heel sandals. You can never go wrong with a pair of nude shoes; they are a classic style that you should have in your closet.

Don't forget that a bag is a great accessory. This bag has quite a few details that dresses up the look - it has a gold chain and a pearl trim detail.

3. Beach wedding outfit

Here, I'm wearing a gorgeous maxi-length tropical print dress. This dress is fun and perfect for a beach-style wedding.

It has a colorful, playful print, and has buttons going all the way down. The great thing about that is that you can keep some of the buttons undone like I've done here and have a bit of a peekaboo leg.

I've kept the jewelry simple with a classic pair of hoop earrings, and for shoes, I've added a pair of nude wedges. Wedges are a classic summer shoe, and these pair perfectly with the printed dress (and beach wedding sand!). The last touch is a round wicker bag that oozes summer vibes.

4. Daytime-to-evening wedding outfit

Here we have an emerald green midi dress. This dress is chic and has an element of sexiness as well. I love the little slit at the bottom.

I feel that it could work for a daytime wedding or a night wedding, depending on the shoes and accessories that you style it with. I'm going to style it in a way that would work for either.

To start, I paired it with a pair of gold statement earrings. I love these earrings because they always get the job done whenever you need a bit of oomph added to your look.

For the shoes, I went with a pair of transparent high heels, which are glam and very versatile. Lastly, I added a nude clutch that has a gorgeous gold chain.

5. Versatile wedding outfit

This dress is guaranteed to get you on the best-dressed list at any wedding! It's a gorgeous green maxi dress. The bottom is pleated and super flowy, and there is some stylish crossover detail on the bust.

I went with a statement headband that is super sparkly and accessorizes the look just like I wanted it to. I added the same pair of transparent high-heeled shoes, and a small black bag completes the outfit.

6. Daytime wedding outfit

The last wedding guest dress is this baby blue midi-length dress. This dress is perfect for a daytime wedding - it's so simple, yet so chic. It has a perforated style with cute ruffles on the shoulders.

To accessorize, I added a pair of dangly silver earrings. I'm also wearing it with a pair of sandals with a little heel and a cute pearl trim on each strap. So, if you're not a fan of high heels, you can go for a pair of low heels and still look cute.

Lastly, I've gone for a bucket-style bag in all pearl. This bag is dainty and delicate, and it matches the pearl details on the shoes.

We’ve covered so many different options for what to wear to a casual summer wedding. I hope that you can take some inspiration from these elegant outfit ideas!

Thanks for posting, I'll be attending a day to evening wedding this weekend and was wondering if my floaty long dress would be "over the top" but I see now it won't be, thanks again!
