Learn how to make a rose clay melt and pour soap recipe. This is an easy recipe and tutorial that's perfect for beginners.

Rose clay has several benefits for your skin. It's a gentle clay, so it's good for most skin types including sensitive skin. You can learn more about rose clay and see more tips for making this soap in my rose clay melt and pour soap recipe.

To make this soap, you will need:

  • 4 ounces Melt and pour soap base
  • 1/4 teaspoon Rose clay
  • 30 drops Tranquility essential oil blend
  • 10 drops Sweet orange essential oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Arrowroot powder
  • Rose soap mold
  • Mica
  • 1 teaspoon Rubbing alcohol

If you add clay to soap, it will clump. You need to make a slurry with the clay, arrowroot powder, and rubbing alcohol. Stir until the clumps are gone and set aside.

I dusted my mold with mica. This is option, but it gives the soap a nice color and texture on top. I used white, pink, and green. Gently tap a spoon with mica on it over the mold. Then blow the mica to spread it. Do this over the trash can.

Cut the soap into small chunks. Then melt 30 seconds at a time in the microwave until melted.

Add the clay slurry and essential oils. Stir well.

Pour into the mold and let sit until cool. This should take about 2 hours.

You can use your rose clay soap right away. Enjoy!
