[Mori wearing a DIY Jumpsuit "Anitra" by Style Sew Me Patterns]

Well here she is ladies and gentlemen The Anitra Jumpsuit. The latest pattern release from Eryn with Style Sew Me Patterns. I've made several items from Style Sew Me Patterns and this is my fav! I love me a pair of harem pants to begin with and to make it into a jumpsuit was fabulous. The selling point for Mori was the ability for that leg action! I can see so many options to create unique looks with this pattern.

Can we talk about Indie patterns for a minute here? I will be the first person to say When I buy patterns from the big pattern companies, I only buy patterns when they go on sale. Even though they sell them 40% of the retail price on a regular basis at Joann's, I refuse to pay $11.99 for one of their patterns. Once I had to buy a pattern for a contest and I missed the sale and I paid about $13.00 for the pattern and that hurt my heart! But when I started buying Independent Pattern makers patterns, I was more more comfortable spending the money for these patterns. I'd spend $16.00 for a pattern that I would have to piece together with tape. Am I crazy? No I'm not crazy, I appreciated that I was buying something that seemed more personal. I was buying something that represented the little man, someone who had an ideal and made it into a reality, I was making some one's dream come true! OK well it's not that deep but you get what I'm saying.

One thing I love about this Style Sew Me pattern is that there are not a million pieces. This Anitra jumpsuit has 6 pieces and here is the most important part.....NO ZIPPERS!!!! [I don't have a hatred for zippers and yes I can install them quite nicely but if I don't have to, I'm all giddy inside] The construction of this jumpsuit kinda reminds me of a jig-saw puzzle but it was pretty easy and the instructions were great. If you have any trouble there's a video to help you along.

All you need is this pattern, fabric, thread, elastic, a sewing machine and a machine needle for knits and you are ready to get this party started. I am not a super huge fan of knit fabrics but I do love this slinky, jersey , gold coated knit I bought from Joann's, You may remember this from the bodysuit I made to go with my black and gold denim suit. This is a jumpsuit that is that "WOW" factor whether you're dressy or casual. Kudos Eryn & Style Sew Me patterns! Drop by the blog or Instagram to see all the other versions that were made of the Anitra Jumpsuit
