Simple 5-minute Makeup Tutorial for Mature Skin
Hi everyone. Today, I'm going to show you a very quick 5-minute makeup routine for those days when you haven't got a lot of time.
The makeup I’m using is from the Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of makeup.
Tools and materials:
- Primer
- Tinted moisturizer
- Makeup brushes
- Blush
- Eyeshadow
- Brow color
- Mascara
1. Apply primer and tinted moisturizer
Apply primer on your face and eyes. Then use a tinted moisturizer.
This is really good if you just want a bit of light coverage but also if, like me, you've got some blemishes or sun spots that you want to cover up.
Squirt some of it on your hand, and then use a foundation brush to spread it across your face.
2. Apply blush
Next, apply some blush with your fingers. I’m using one in a peach shade as I am warm-toned, so the colors I'm using are for warm-toned skin.
Then, spread the blush with the brush to avoid any harsh lines or unevenness.
3. Apply eyeshadow
Now go in with some cappuccino-colored eyeshadow.
This is a lovely color for when you want just a little bit of definition and a subtle wash of color.
You could also choose a teal or terracotta shade, these also work very well. Put a little bit of eyeshadow on a brush.
Then take a chocolate brown eyeshadow and place it along your lash line.
This helps to open up your eyes and of course, adds a little bit of color and definition as well.
Put some on your bottom lash line as well from the outside in to just lift the corners slightly.
4. Add color to brows
It’s important for me now to add some definition to my brows.
I've got very few brow hairs having overplucked them in my youth! (For any younger readers - please don’t do as I did and take good care of your brows!)
I’m taking a brow color in brown and painting it on with a fine brush to give a little bit of definition to my very sparse and pale eyebrows.
Then go over it with a spoolie brush to just even the color out. This is a wonder product that I would definitely take with me on a desert island.
5. Apply mascara
No makeup is ever complete without mascara so apply some mascara for the final touch to your eyes.
6. Apply lipstick
Finish up with a touch of color on the lips. I’ve gone for a coral shade that goes well with my blouse, and it's just a lovely light color.
5-minute makeup
Here is the finished 5-minute makeup look. It’s very minimal and enhances my natural features.
This look makes me feel happy and confident and ready to start the day!
