Use Tights to Make an XL Bow Belt
If you want to go all out with an eye-catching, extra large accessory, this DIY is for you! Follow along to learn how to tie a bow belt.
Tools and materials:
- Soft pants with a bold pattern
- Skinny black tie or ribbon
- Black belt
1. Fold
Fold your pants in half vertically. Then fold in the crotch to make a straight line.
Then fold the pants into thirds.
2. Make a bow
Hold the garment horizontally and cinch the middle to make a bow shape.
Then secure the bow by wrapping a skinny black tie or a ribbon in the center and double knotting it, leaving the ends to fall for the tails of the bow.
3. Attach a belt
Weave a black belt through the back of the bow, under the tie.
Attach the belt at your waist and rock that oversized bow belt!
Bonus look!
Remove the belt and adjust the position of the black tie to the top of the bow. Then tie it around your neck for an oversized bow tie look:
