Styling Tutorial: How to Wear a Scarf With a Suit

Tools and materials:

• Silk scarf
• Suit

Style 1

1. Fold the scarf

Fold your scarf as a triangle and place it on your shoulders. 

2. Put jacket on top

Next, layer your jacket on top. 

3. Button the jacket

Make sure the two sides fall to the same length, place one side over the other, and button up the jacket.

By the way, I’m wearing a velvet jacket as silk scarves sit best on velvet. The velvet ensures that the scarf stays in place and doesn’t slip around.

Here is the finished style - it looks very sophisticated.

Style 2

1. Fold and drape the scarf

For the second look, fold the scarf into a triangle as before. Then place the triangle on one of the shoulders of your jacket. Bring the two ends around the back of your neck. Then drape the scarf.

You can leave the scarf sitting on the side for an asymmetrical look, but I decided to bring it to the front to show this beautiful print.

Style 3

1. Fold the scarf

For the third look, fold the scarf into a triangle and then make the triangle shorter by rolling the top part over. 

2. Cross around your neck

Place the triangle part on your chest, cross the two ends behind your neck and bring them forward. 

3. Drape the front

Hide the ends under your jacket and pull the front until a nice drape forms.

Here is the finished look, and I love how it covers the entire neck and chest area. The way that the scarf is draped so wide really shows off its beautiful print.
