Anti Aging Facial Serum Recipe
It’s never too early to start thinking about ways to pamper and protect your skin! This anti-aging facial serum can do just that! dōTERRA has a proprietary blend of essential oils, named Immortelle and this recipe is a variation of their blend, complete with my own personal twist. What you need
Grapeseed oil
- Great for acne-prone skin, easily absorbs into the skin without being too heavy
- Can reduce the appearance of spots and scars, and is rich in vitamins
Rosehip oil
- Protects from age spots and sun damage
- High in antioxidants and anti-aging properties
- Helps with eczema and acne scarring
Frankincense essential oil
- Has soothing and beautifying properties that are used to rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks
- Promotes youthful, radiant-looking skin and slows the signs of aging
Lavender essential oil
- Soothes skin irritations
- Supports aging skin
- Helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes
Cypress essential oil
- Helps to improve the appearance of oily skin
- Helps with acne and troubled skin
- Has anti fungal, antimicrobial and antibacterial benefits
Helichrysum essential oil
- Reduces the appearance of blemishes and promotes a glowing complexion
- Has restorative and rejuvenating properties
Myrrh essential oil
- Helps banish scars and blemishes
- Soothes irritations, rashes and itching sensations
- Stimulates the regeneration of skin cells and helps to soothe wounds
Sandalwood essential oil
- Reduces the appearance of skin imperfections
- Promotes healthy-looking, smooth skin
Glass dropper bottle
- Has dropper for easy application
- Dark, frosted or UV-protected glass helps to retain the effective properties of the essential oils
How to make
- Open up your glass dropper bottle and get ready to add:
- 6 drops each of Frankincense and Lavender essential oils
- Followed by 5 drops of Cypress essential oil
- Next, add 1 drop each of Helichrysum, Sandalwood and Myrrh essential oils
- Grab your measuring spoon and add 1 tbsp of Rosehip oil
- Fill the rest of the bottle with Grapeseed oil
- Shake to combine
- All done!
Ways to use
- Apply 3-4 drops to clean hands and lightly distribute to freshly washed and dried face
- Store bottle out of direct sunlight
- Will keep for many many moons (but also months)
