Plucking brows

1. Pluck your eyebrows

You want to start with your eyebrow already shaped.

In my case, I like thicker brows and bushy brows, so I stopped threading and waxing them. I just pluck a few hairs underneath and am very careful not to over-pluck them.

Shading brows

2. Shade your eyebrows

You can shade your eyebrows with a few different products - you can go for a brow powder or a brow pencil - it doesn’t matter which product you go for as long as you use it gently.

Also, if you’re using a brow pencil, make sure you sharpen it beforehand so that you have a very thin point. Start lining your brow underneath in very light strokes.

You don't want to leave one thick line, you just want to do it very, very softly with a very soft hand. Then start shading upwards.

You want to create a little bit of a shade, especially where you have more sparse hair, but you don't want anything to be dark.

Blending

3. Blend the color out

Then use a spoolie to brush through that and help blend it out. You don't want to do anything harsh.

Shaping the arch

4. Shape the arch

Try not to do a lot on the top, but you do want to give a little bit of shape, especially in the arch.

If this is your everyday makeup and you don't have a lot of time, or you just want to leave it looking very natural, you can leave it like that. I think that it looks good as it is.

Applying concealer

5. Apply concealer under the eyebrows

This step is for those that still want something very, very natural, but this is going to make the look more clean and precise.

It is one of those things that is like a little detail that, of course, you can leave it out, but I think it makes everything very precise.

Take a tiny bit of concealer in the same color as your skin on a very thin makeup brush.

Then apply it as a line underneath your eyebrow, very close to the color that we just applied but barely touching it. You don't really want to erase anything.

Blending

6. Blend the concealer

When you finish the line, remove any excess from your brush and then start blending the concealer downwards.

Brushing brows

7. Brush the eyebrows

Now we want to brush the eyebrows so that they will stay how they are all day.

For this, take some transparent soap. You can activate the soap with water, but I like to activate mine with a setting spray.

Apply a little bit of water or setting spray, and with a little spoolie, start scrubbing.

You don't want to pick too much, but you also don't want it to be very wet. You're just going to gently start brushing your eyebrows upward and diagonally.

Brushing brows

This is where you're going to realize how long your eyebrow hairs are. I like to use the spoolie to smooth down the tip of the hairs that are sticking out because they’re too long.

You're never going to end up with 100% symmetric eyebrows, but that's completely fine, nobody really wants to have 100% symmetric eyebrows.

Cleaning up

8. Clean up the foundation

This process might take a little bit of your foundation off above your eyebrows, but you can just take a brush and clean it up.

Again, you can leave it like that, that's absolutely perfect. Your eyebrows are going to stay like that the whole day.

Of course, the look will be a bit different depending on how much hair you have and how long your eyebrows are.

Filling in brows

9. Fill in eyebrows

If you don't have a lot of eyebrow hair, the next step is going to be perfect for you. We’re going to use an eyebrow tint pen which allows you to draw little hairs.

Wherever you feel that you're missing a little bit of hair, draw in very thin hairs. This is not going to be very obvious. Don't feel pressured to do it all around your eyebrow, just do it wherever you feel is necessary.
