I have found a love for shower melts because they help to provide a bath-like experience, in the shower. So when I want to relax, calm myself, or just have a lovely aroma surround me in the shower, I will use a shower melt. These calming lavender shower melts are my favorite to use when I shower at night because the lavender essential oil helps to calm me, and prepare me for sleep.

It may be likely that you have never heard of shower melts before, so the Q&A below may help you to become more familiar with them. A shower melt is sort of like a bath bomb, but for the shower. Of course, the two are completely different, but when it comes to fragrance and essential oils being released, it is sort of the same concept. For instance, these DIY Eucalyptus Shower Melts are helpful when I’m congested. I use one in the shower, and it helps to break up that congestion, allowing me to breathe easier.

Making your own bath products is super easy, and I have some really great recipes that you may enjoy. Try these ones, and let me know how you like them.

How do you store shower melts?

You will want to store your shower melts in the same way that you store your bath bombs. Put them in an airtight container like a jar or

zippered baggie and keep them in a cool, dry place. The bathroom really isn’t the best place to store items like this, since the bathroom is often full of moisture from people showering.

How do you store shower melts?

Your shower melts can last up to 6 months if they are stored properly, in a cool, dark place such as a cabinet or linen closet.

How do you use a shower melts

Using a shower melt like these calming lavender shower melts will give you an aromatic essential oil shower experience. The lavender essential oil will help to provide calmness when it is released through the steam of the shower. To use your shower melt, put it under the steam of your shower to get it wet and help to activate it. Then set it at the far end of the shower, so that it will last the duration of your shower. If you set it near the drain, it would run out much quicker.

How do you use essential oils in the shower?

I like to make shower melts like these ones to use essential oils in the shower. You can play around with different essential oils, and even use a combination of essential oils. Another way to use essential oils in the shower is to pour a few drops on a washcloth, wet it, and set it in the back of the shower.
