Co-ord Sets

by Glamorouslady_x

Love them or hate them, I think they are here to stay. Co-ords are two piece sets made in matching colours or styles so that they can be worn together, and usually comprised of a pair of bottoms and a matching top. They have become very fashionable in the past couple of years and come out season after season with either short sleeves in the summer sets or a long-sleeved for the autumn/winter ones.

I personally absolutely love a good co-ord. What’s not to love? Co-ords are matching so you don’t have to worry about whether the items will look good together. Most co-ord sets have an elasticated waist so they’re super comfortable to wear. In fact, in the photo above, the set I am wearing was my choice of a travel outfit to travel on a plane.

There are so many varieties of co-ords, in various colours, textures and fabrics that it’s now become acceptable to wear them even on a night out!

One of the biggest advantages of buying a co-ord set is that you get three outfits in one! As well as wearing it as a set, the top can be worn with jeans and the bottoms styled with another top or blouse.

However, you have to be careful as a two piece set can often look like a set of pyjamas.

The key is to look for vibrant colours and prints that you would not usually find in the nightwear department.

The suit above is in a very bright fuchsia colour with a textured print and a high waisted belted finish to the trousers which makes it clear that these are trousers and not pyjama bottoms.

I’m including a link to this fabulous set:

Summer sets, that usually consist of a pair of shorts and a button down shirt, are ideal for holidays. You can wear the shirt undone over a swimming costume. Alternatively, you can take the shirt off and wear the shorts over your bikini/swimming costume as a cute cover up.
