The Best Ways to Wear Button Ups

A button up shirt is one of the most versatile pieces of clothing in my wardrobe. It can be styled so many different ways and is something I'm always reaching for. They can be dressed up or down, and are the perfect lightweight coverup as well. I'll show you some of the ways I've worn my button up shirts lately to give you some styling ideas! Here is my favourite white shirt that I've used in all of the following looks.

Recently, I took a trip to the beach after getting a little too much sun on my arms the week before. By adding my button up shirt to my outfit for the day, I was able to protect my arms from the sun which allowed me to be able to enjoy my afternoon. I think that a button up over a bikini is the perfect combo and looks super cute together. A classic white shirt always does the trick, but you could also find a pattern or colour to match with your bikini and still look really trendy and put together. Highly recommend packing a button up in your beach bag!

I also paired my bikini with this matching phone case from Kaseme. If you want to check them out because they have the cutest and most protective cases, they have been kind enough to offer MELISSAR10 as a code to help you save on your next purchase!

Here is a streetstyle look that I really loved putting together. For this outfit I stuck to neutral tones of black and white, then added the pearl bag as my statement piece. A classic black mini skirt paired with a white tank is a super easy outfit to put together whether you're going out for an afternoon of cafe hopping or heading out in the evening for some drinks. Adding the white button up half-draped off of my shoulders added another casual touch to this outfit and I feel like it pulled the whole look together. You could also take the shirt off and tie it around your waist or around your shoulders as well to switch this style up.

This look is one of my favourites! I paired my white button up with a black slip dress for this classy look. I finished off the look with a classic pair of black heels, a black bag, and minimal gold accessories. The button up added a nice layer for keeping my arms covered when the evening got chillier but didn't dress the look down, and was the perfect date night outfit!
