- Hair tie
1. Grab fabric
First, reach underneath your dress and grab a handful of fabric.
2. Tie fabric
Then wrap a hair tie around it to secure it.
Let the dress down, and you will see the difference! Tying some of the fabric underneath shortens the length of the dress and also adds shape.
Easy maxi dress hack
I really like how it cinches the dress at the side to create an asymmetrical look, but you could also try tying the fabric in the center if you want the dress to be symmetrical.
