There is a fine line that is very easy to cross when it comes to dressing vintage which is being costume-y.

Vintage 1950s designs are styles you see more often in shops recently due to trends originating from movies such as Priscilla. I am all for the vintage fashion!

When looking for modern clothes with that style it’s all to do with the designs, such as sweetheart necklines, midi pleated skirts, etc.

House of CB is the best brand for recreating the 50s and 60s style with a modern take. However this brand is at premium high street price so I have found the perfect dupe to their midi day dress from Cherley.

It has the elegance without looking like a costume and the perfect mix between overdressed and relaxed.

I think this dress would suit any body type so if you want to get into the vintage vibes then this one is for you!

This dress in particular looks great in any colour: white, pink, blue, yellow, etc. I chose white as it can be styled with why accessory.

The final touch is an elegant venue to wear it, usually a traditional hotel restaurants interior will make the old Hollywood style with the draped curtains and ornate wall mouldings.
