Shoes for Between-Seasons Spring Weather

The excitement of spring is in the air! The days are warmer. The grass turning green again. And there’s that feeling of wanting to get out and go places. But you need shoes. Spring is a time of unpredictable weather. The longer days and more sunshine feel warm after the freezing months of winter, but it can still get pretty chilly out there. What do you put on your feet?

The spring months of March and April often feel still too cold for sandals and open-toe shoes, but too warm for heavy boots. The trick is to find something in-between. Here are some options for shoes for between-seasons spring weather.

Pumps

Closed-toe pumps are a classic and come in a huge variety of styles and heel heights. Picking some in a bright spring color will make you feel ready for the season. The closed toe will keep your feet a little warmer and protected than more strappy, open-toe styles that are better for summer wear. Shop pumps.

Flats

Nothing is easier than a good pair of flats to get you out of any wardrobe conundrum. Flats work for day or night, whether you walk a lot or sit in an office all day. They go with everything from pants to skirts, casual or dressy. You can find them in pretty much any color or pattern you can think of. They are the comfortable, easy-to-grab shoe that will never let you down. Shop flats.

Espadrilles

These jute and canvas shoes should be a staple for your spring wardrobe. They are a go-with-everything shoe, especially since they usually come in neutral colors of natural canvas and black. The heels can be flat to high wedges. You can choose with an ankle strap or without. Throw them on with jeans, shorts or dresses for an easy, casual spring look. They are also work for nighttime wear. Shop espadrilles.

Booties

There’s no question spring can still bring some chilly temperatures and the occasional bout of rain and even snow. Yet, heavy or tall boots feel like too much when you’re ready to put a little spring in your step. Ankle booties are a lighter option that will protect your feet when the weather rains on your spring parade. Pair them with some colorful socks for warmth and you’ll look cute in those spring dresses and capri pants. Shop booties.

So now that you know some good options for shoes for that between-seasons spring weather, which ones will you wear first?
