Elevate Your Skirt With a Hair Tie
If you have a midi skirt that you really like, but just not enough occasions to wear it, then check out this really great way to elevate and repurpose your skirt with just a hair tie!
Now you’ll at least double the number of places you can wear that great skirt!

Tools and materials:
- Midi pencil skirt
- Hair tie
1. Grab your materials
All you need to do is put on that straight pencil skirt and grab a hair tie.
2. Cinch your skirt
Now, flip your skirt up so you’re working on the inside of it.
Gather up one bunch of your skirt and secure that with a hair tie.
Don’t gather and secure it from the hem line: gather a bunch of material from the middle and secure it there.
3. Let your skirt down
Drop your skirt back down, and you can see how it’s now cinched about a third of the way down from the waist.
The cinching has also raised the hemline, so now the skirt falls just below the knee.
How to elevate your skirt with a hair tie
That’s a pretty great look, isn’t it? And since all you used was a hair tie, you can easily return it to its original midi-style!
