How I Style an Oversized Cardigan
We are approaching the colder months and I can finally start pulling out my chunky knit, sweaters, cardigans, and jackets. I struggle with pairing my oversized cardigans with outfit’s that don’t look too frumpy. So I challenge myself to pair it with pieces that look more put to get. Here are a few outfits I came up with.
Since one of my uniforms in the fall and winter are sweats, I knew I wanted an outfit with sweats. However, here I opted for a slimmer fitted sweat pant and a fitted cropped tee. When pairing and oversized item on top, I like to have everything on bottom pretty fitted To offset the look.
For this look with the jeans, I kept the tank nice and fitted, but did a wide leg jean. The wide leg, jean in a long length with heels, gives the illusion of one long lean line as the long cardigan draws the eyes downward.
This look has a lot of volume. I did an oversize T-shirt tucked in to a wide pair of trousers. However, I put a Crossbody bag that hits right along the waist line bringing in the silhouette. Also paired with heels to elongate the look.
Lastly, I pair this oversize popcorn, knit sweater with a satin dress and cowboy boots. Love mixing different textures for the fall and winter. And this is a perfect fall evening look for warmer places like Texas.
