Colours to Wear This Fall 2022
With a new season comes the perfect opportunity to try new styles! In this post I'm going to share with you a few colours that I've been seeing everywhere this fall season. I think the cycling of trending colours that we're seeing in fashion right now are great for pulling things out of the back of your wardrobe and giving them new life. Make sure to try styling the following colours this fall season!
Orange is making headlines right now, and it makes sense considering it is pumpkin season. However, I'm loving a more muted and darker shade when adding it to an outfit. This scarf top here, which I've tied myself from a regular scarf (let me know if you want a tutorial for this!), has a nice pastel orange that pairs well with the blue and brown tones in the pattern. I styled it with faux leather pants for the ultimate fall look and love how this turned out. Adding just a touch of colour to an outfit is the perfect way to try it out.
As expected, forest green is making a comeback this fall after being tucked away during the spring and summer months. It pairs wonderfully with orange and brown, which I used for this look here. A classic sweater is my go-to look during fall. Forest green becomes a primary colour in my wardrobe during the colder months because it is complementary with so many other colours and neutrals. Try adding forest green to your next outfit as a top or bottom, then playing around with warm brown tones to compliment it. Here's a link to my brown faux leather bag.
Navy blue is also popping up right now, and I'm loving it! Try styling your navy blue tops with lighter jeans to avoid being too monochromatic. This sweater set adds the perfect tone of blue when paired with my favourite denim. I also think it looks amazing with orange, as I showed in the first image of this tutorial, so that would be a great way to get both of those colours into an outfit. Navy blue is also beautiful when used as an eye shadow colour for a bold makeup look.
These tips can be used to style pieces you already own or you can shop similar products to what I've used using the links in the text. Make sure to follow me on instagram @melissaradford and on TikTok @melissaradford for more styling tips and beauty hacks!
