How to Style a Vest
Women’s Suit Vests seem to be all the rage right now and I am here for it! I’ve recently purchased a brown longer vest and a black linen blend vest. I’ve been having a lot of fun styling different looks with them. Here are just some of my favorites.
Gotta do a western fit because I’m currently obsessed with boho or western looks. Since the vest is on the longer side, I paired it over an oversize tee, giving the tee some shape. A little fringe bag and the boots really brought the look together. The other look was a pretty classic outfit with some distress denim shorts and the boots.
I wanted to add some patterned, but sticking with the same color as the vests. Since the looks were pretty neutral I could add a pop of color or texture in the mix giving it a little interest.
It’s never a bad idea to include denim. Here on the left, I did more of a casual look with some baggy jeans, some flats and a tote. But on the right, I used chambray trousers and added a white blazer; really bringing it up a notch even while using denim.
A vest with some shorts will probably be my summer uniform. You can go very causal with denim and sneakers or do tailored shorts and heels. Make your vest day to night with just a few changes!
Here is another example of day to tonight outfits. Using the same pair of trousers I created two different looks. On the left I did heels with an evening bag and on the right, I added a white baby tee, sneakers and a causal tote in a pop of color.
