Here are the three date casual night outfits that I am describing in this post.

In this post...

Three Casual Date Night Looks

Outfit #1 (of the Casual Date Night Looks)
Here is the first of three casual date night outfits. I am wearing a black fuzzy sleeveless top over black velvet jeans and grey suede booties. My accessories are faux diamond stud earrings, a stainless-steel watch and bracelet.

Isn’t an all-black outfit such a go-to look for your favorite casual date night look? When I don’t know what to wear, I frequently reach for all black. Black in my top and pants is always slimming. But, since this is all about cute casual date night outfits, I like to add a bit of interest in the fabric or style of the top. In this cute date night outfit, I paired a darling (and very reasonable) black fuzzy Halogen top with classic black velvet skinny jeans.

The black fuzzy top is a great buy and very comfortable to wear. It’s very soft and not at all scratchy.

Black velvet is such a classic fabric. I wear it all fall and winter. Of course, I wear it during the holidays, but I also wear it for casual date night outfits like this one.

For accessories, I added grey suede booties, faux diamond stud earrings, my stainless steel Ebel watch and a silver bracelet. All this looks sleek, and a bit sexy. But we all know that a sleeveless top can be too cool sometimes on a fall or winter date night. So, look how I deal with that (in the next photo).

I added a cute Talbots boucle coat that I just draped over my shoulders for instant class. I love how this is reminiscent of a man’s jacket. It’s a neat solution to the ever-changing temperatures in restaurants and if you get too warm, you can just put the coat over the back of your chair.

Outfit #2 (of the Casual Date Outfits)
In this second casual date night outfit, I am wearing a black print blouse under a faux fur vest with black velvet jeans and grey booties.

Isn’t this a cozy look for what to wear to a dinner date? In the fall and winter, I love to trot out fake fur vests. This one is old, but I have linked a very similar one here. I put it on over the same black velvet jeans as in the first outfit, but I switched out the top to a terrific Evereve top that is so pretty and versatile. By wearing a vest, the arms and midline of the top peek out, adding interest to the otherwise black look.

In this second casual date night outfit, I am wearing a black print blouse under a faux fur vest with black velvet jeans and grey booties. Here is a closeup of the multiple colors in the vest including cream, mustard, burgundy and blue.

Here is a closeup of the top with the fur vest. I am wearing a size small. I added a pave diamond heart necklace (a great basic), and faux diamond stud earrings. Again, I am wearing grey suede booties.

The blouse has multiple colors in the vest including cream, mustard, burgundy and blue. Here I have removed the vest and you can see the slight tie detail to the neckline.

Above you see the pretty black print top. It has a tiny bit of elastic at the bottom of the top and sleeves, which makes it easy to look tucked in even when it isn’t. I usually find elastic on the edge of a top to be annoying and unflattering, but it really works with this top. I am wearing a size small.

Here is a close-up of the Evereve top. Aren’t the colors amazing? The background is officially black, but depending on what I wear with it, it can look dark olive or slate grey. There is some mustard, cream, and even burgundy in this print making it very versatile. It would be a terrific Thanksgiving top too, don’t you think?

Outfit #3 (of the Casual Date Night Outfits)
In this third casual date night look I paired a satiny pale blue camisole with a black faux moto jacket and distressed jeans. I added a pave silver heart necklace to fill in the neckline.

Here is a bit sexier date night outfit. I put a satiny camisole (sold out, similar, here, here, and here) under a faux suede moto jacket. I wore these with a distressed pair of jeans and black suede booties. Again, I wore the diamond pave heart necklace with the faux diamond studs.

I think the pairing of a camisole with a moto jacket is a great combination. I like the juxtaposition of the feminine cami with the tougher aspects of a moto jacket. I love the smoothness of the satin top against the faux suede of the jacket.
