Christmas Candy Earrings Tutorial
I’ve noticed a huge trend this year towards decorating your Christmas tree with candy, so along with that trend I decided to make some candy Christmas earrings. These are super simple to make – I got so excited that I made lots of them.
Materials
Here’s what you will need to make all of the earrings:
Green Coin Candy Earrings
Red Bubblegum Candy Earrings
Blue Silver Foil Candy Earrings
Red Faceted Candy Earrings
Gold Filigree Candy Earrings
Tools
The tools I used to make these earrings are:
Instructions
Watch the video or read the instructions below. The instructions are for the green coin candy earrings but I do talk about how to make the other pairs.
Feed on the Beads
Feed the beads onto the headpin in the following order:
- Antique Bronze Tibetan Style Bead Cap
- Peridot Swarovski 3700 Marguerite Beads
- Green Lampwork Glass Coin with Gold Swirls
- Peridot Swarovski 3700 Marguerite Beads
- Antique Bronze Tibetan Style Bead Caps
- Antique Gold Rondelle Flat Flower 9mm
Make a Loop
Bend the wire to a right angle at the top of the beads. Trim the wire to approximately 1cm.
Use the round nose pliers to make a loop in the end of the wire.
If you’ve never done this before you can watch a tutorial here:
Add the Earhook
Open the loop of the ear hook and feed on the loop you just made. Close the loop of the earwire.
Make Another One
Repeat all the steps to make a second earring.
Red Bubblegum Candy Earrings
These earrings are made in exactly the same way as the green earrings.
Smaller Earrings
When making the smaller earrings, you can omit the addition of the flower rondelle before making the loop. As the flower bells aren’t heavy, they can support their own weight.
Jewellery I’m Wearing
In this video I’m wearing my vintage necklace. You can find a recreation of that here.
I’m also wearing my Christmas Star Earrings that I made last Christmas.
