Looking for Claw Clip Hairstyles? Here Are 6 Super Easy Ideas
Hey, guys! Today, I’m doing a requested tutorial on different claw clip hairstyles. Hair claw clips were pretty popular back in the 90s and early 2000s and now they’re making a comeback! Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Claw clips
Hairstyle 1
1. Twist to the top
Leave two face-framing pieces of hair in the front and then twist the rest of the hair to the top of your head.
2. Loop it around
Loop the hair around to the back and pinch it together.
3. Secure with a clip
Use the claw clip to make sure it’s nice and secure underneath.
Here’s the finished look! You can pull on the sides and loosen it up, but I love the way this claw clip messy bun looks.
Hairstyle 2
1. Twist two sections
Divide the hair into two sections and then twist those two sections over each other all the way down until you run out of room.
2. Loop and tuck the twist
Bring the combined sections up and then loop them around and tuck them underneath the twist.
3. Secure with a clip
Put your clip towards the end of the twist, so you should have your ends still hanging out.
Here’s the finished look! I have fine hair, but I have a lot of it and this clip works really well for my hair. It’s going to depend on your hair type when it comes to these styles.
Hairstyle 3
1. Twist and wrap your hair
Twist your hair and wrap it around itself a couple of times.
2. Tuck
Once you run out of hair, tuck it underneath itself.
3. Secure with a clip
Take your claw clip and push it underneath it.
Here’s the finished look! This is a basic look but it’s another way to wear a claw clip.
Hairstyle 4
1. Twist your hair up
Gather all of your hair and twist it up.
2. Secure with a clip
Put the claw clip right on the twist and let the rest of the hair drape over it.
This claw clip ponytail is super 90s and early 2000s and it makes me feel very nostalgic. I love it!
Hairstyle 5
1. Twist sections
Take two sections from each side and twist them.
2. Gather the sections
Pull the sections in towards your head and gather them together.
3. Secure with a clip
Put the clip right in the middle.
Here’s the finished look. This is one of the easiest half up half down hairstyles with claw clip I’ve done, and it’s stinking cute!
Hairstyle 6
1. Loop your hair
Gather up the top half of your hair and loop it around itself.
I like to twist my ends because it makes it easier to pull through.
2. Pull your hair through an opening
Create a little opening once you bring the hair around and pull your hair through the opening.
3. Secure with a clip
Put the claw clip underneath to secure.
Here’s the finished look. Not only can you do this as a half-up claw clip bun, but you can also do it as just a low bun.
