Creamy Body Butter Recipe
How to make an easy body butter recipe with shea butter and coconut oil. This isn't whipped, so you just melt the ingredients, stir, and pour into a jar. It's moisturizing and nourishing to smooth your skin.
I wanted to make an easy body butter that wasn't whipped. You can whip this one if you want to, but it just have a firmer texture without whipping. It works exactly the same. I have several essential oil ideas in my creamy body butter post, so be sure to click over. I used Beauty Within blend to make mine.
To make a creamy body butter, you will need:
- 1/2 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup sunflower oil
- 24-36 drops essential oils (I used Beauty Within)
Start by combining the shea butter, coconut oil, and sunflower oil. You can either melt the butter and oil in a double boiler or put them in a container and set them in hot water. That's what I did. The heat from the water will gently melt the shea so it doesn't get grainy.
Once the shea butter and coconut oil are soft enough to mix or melted, add the essential oils and stir well. Then pour into an 8 ounce jar. I used jars with a flip top lid.
This creamy body butter recipe will last about 6 months at room temperature.
