Florals will be a popular choice for Easter or spring parties. If you want to be different from the crowd, menswear might be your alternative to a dress. Combine this cute style with easy and versatile DIY floral clips. Sometimes it's the little things that make an outfit pop.

There is something about floral accessories that adds that little something extra to an oufit. I adore menswear style, so having floral clips in several colors helps to soften the masculine look. I like to make them myself so I can get the size and color for whatever outfit I want to create.

I may wear this suit for Easter, I wanted to add floral heels and a lapel flower. I love the pink hat so I decided on pink roses.

You can put them on just about anything, a collared shirt, a belt, purse, and on your shoes. They also look cute in your hair or on a hat too! There are so many ways you can wear these inexpensive accessories.

This is such a simple project.

Hobby Lobby sells the package of roses in their wedding aisle 6 for $4.99, but they are half off every other week, so my price was just $2.50. The alligator clips were $2.99. I made the whole package so I can interchange them and have extras if some become damaged. I like these because they are flat in the back, whereas if you pull from a bouquet, they can be a little humpy.

Turning the flower over, attach the clip using hot glue. BE CAREFUL as the glue is very hot and you are working with metal and a small surface. Put the glue on the flower, then quickly place the alligator clip on it while pinching the arms open so they don't stick together until the glue dries. I have a fan going so it dries quickly.

It's good to have different sizes. This is the larger flower, (which you can get a bouquet of at Walmart for $5) that has leaves on the back, it helps to hide the clip. Putting a 2nd leaf over part of the alligator clip keeps the glue from sticking to the other side.

Shoe clips are a perfect way to get a new pair of shoes for next to nothing. You can make clips with flowers, bows, brooches, pins, the list is endless. Now your shoes can match your purse, belt, lapel, or hair clip. An easy way to make a cohesive outfit.

The outfit details-The Ralph Lauren pink linen blazer from Poshmark was $11 including shipping. The thrifted vintage pink and blue tie was only .50 cents! The hat was from Shein, on clearance for $5. The NEW cute saddle shoes were thrifted for $7. So this whole look comes in under $25!

The white trench is part of a vintage Anne Klein pantsuit I bought for $50, 2 years ago on eBay. It's a classic that will never go out of style.

Getting creative with accessories is a great way to make your outfit stand out from the crowd, and to make it seem different each time you wear it.

Have a blessed day,

Eden
