Sure store-bought body scrubs are great, they really are. But, they are expensive!

Making your own body scrub is easy, and inexpensive as well.

Body scrubs are great for pampering yourself or to give as gifts.

So give this brown sugar scrub recipe a try. It does a great job exfoliating your skin and is super easy to make with just 3 simple ingredients you likely have right in your kitchen pantry.

Begin by gathering everything that you will need for this DIY project:

  • brown sugar
  • olive oil
  • honey
  • bowl and spoon, for mixing
  • air tight jar, for storing

In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, olive oil, and honey together.

Spoon scrub into airtight containers for storage or gifting.

For an extra special treat, add a tablespoon of vanilla extra to the scrub as well. It will give the scrub a wonderful vanilla scent, making the scrub even more luxurious and indulgent.

Tie a ribbon around the jar, or pop a bow on the top, and your DIY brown sugar scrub is ready for gifting. No wrapping paper needed!

Note: Since the scrub does not contain preservatives, it is best to use it within 1 to 2 months.

I hope you enjoy this luxurious DIY brown sugar scrub!

  • This is a great scrub and adding the vanilla is a must imo. Thank you.

Adding oil to anything you use in the shower is dangerous. It coats the floor and makes it a "slip and fall" accident waiting to happen.
