Butterfly Snapchat filter costume

1. Make a Snapchat shirt

Grab some adhesive white felt and trace the Snapchat logo on the back of it. Then cut it out. Next, go in with a black sharpie and outline the outside of your decal. Finish by peeling off the backing and sticking it on a yellow shirt.

Painting butterflies

2. Paint the butterflies

Get some plastic butterflies and spray paint them yellow on both sides.

Attaching clip to butterfly

3. Attach the clip

Once the paint has dried, apply some hot glue on the back of each one and stick on a bobby pin or other clip.

Clip the butterflies into your hair on both sides in random formations and you are a Snapchat butterfly filter!

You could also add some glitter to your hair and makeup as well as a little bit of white to your lips to get the authentic filter look.

Teddy bear

Applying foundation

1. Apply foundation

Apply some very light foundation (or just a mix of white face paint and your regular foundation) in a circular shape around your chin-to-nose area as well as under your eyes.

Applying bronzer

2. Apply bronzer

Apply some bronzer to the part of your cheeks that you didn’t put the foundation to create some contrast between the white and the rest of your face.

Drawing stitches

3. Draw stitches

Take some eyeliner and draw stitches starting from the top of your forehead all the way down to your chin. Also, outline your cupid’s bow a little bit.

Drawing hair

4. Draw hair

Then outline the white facepaint by creating some small hairlike strokes with black eyeliner all the way to the ends of your brows.

Next, go in with some brown eyeshadow and go over all of the black hairs to create some more depth and some lowlights.

Drawing hair

Then go in with some white face paint on a small brush and add some white hairs which will add some highlights.

Thickening brows

5. Thicken your brows

Apply some brown pomade to extend your brows to make them look hairier.

Coloring nose

6. Color your nose

As for the nose, take a black jumbo eye pencil and draw a small black part at the bottom of your nose.

Coloring top lip

7. Color your top lip

Fill in your top lip with black eyeliner.

Attaching toy animals to umbrella

1. Attach animals to the umbrella

Tie some string around your animals and tie the other end of the string onto one of the prongs on the umbrella. Repeat this all around the umbrella.
