Easy Way to Widen a Pair of Bottoms

As you know I recently had a baby, so some of my clothes are feeling a bit snug. There are just some pieces I wanted to wear but I needed them a little bit bigger, here's how I did it quick and easy.
This skirt, for example I had matching fabric for my 2 girls and I really wanted to wear it but the item was out of stock so I couldn't just get a larger size.
I started by cutting along the seam.
Then I cut a triangle piece out of a pair of spanx or any stretch material would do.
I sewed in the piece of spank material into the cut seam of the skirt.
I've said it before that sewing is not my forte but I get by.
I really feel like it doesn't have to be perfect, and when I do lose the baby weight I could always sew the seam right back together.
Just be mindful to wear a shirt that covers the patched on fabric.
What a good looking bunch, if I don't say so myself.
Enjoyed the project?
