Learn how to make eucalyptus bath bombs for sore muscles and minor aches and pains. Eucalyptus is also good for relieving congestion, so you can use these for cough or cold to relieve symptoms.
This makes 5 medium sized bath bombs, so you'll have some on the shelf for later. Eucalyptus essential oil coupled with the warm bath water can help soothe aching muscles during a bath.
You will need:
- ½ cup baking soda
- ¼ cup epsom salts
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ¼ cup citric acid
- ½ tsp green mica powder
- 1 tbsp dried eucalyptus leaves
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
- ½ tbsp water or witch hazel
- 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- Bath bomb molds
- Whisk
- Large bowl
- Small jar with lid
Place the dry ingredients (baking soda, Epsom salts, cornstarch, citric acid, mica powder, and eucalyptus leaves) in a medium sized bowl and whisk to combine.
Then place the water, sweet almond oil, and essential oil in a small bowl or in a jar. Then shake the jar or stir in a bowl to combine.
Slowly pour the liquid over the dry ingredients while you whisk to combine. If you dump it in all at once, it will activate the baking soda and citric acid.
Then overfill the two halves of the bath bomb mold.
Press the two halves together and twist slightly. Set the bath bomb in the mold aside to dry for 8 hours or overnight.
