Build a Boho Look for Fall

If you’ve been following the runways for fall fashion, you might have seen that boho is back. While it seems to be a trend that never goes out of style, it’s been especially visible on the runways of major fashion shows like Etro and Chloé.

Seamlessly blending the carefree spirit of summer with the rich textures of autumn, boho is the perfect transitional look as we ease into the shoulder season when the weather is getting a little nip in the air. The aesthetic is all about effortless elegance and femininity with maxi dresses, eclectic prints and layered accessories that evoke a sense of wanderlust while remaining grounded in practicality.

Here’s a way to build the boho look for navigating the seasonal shift.

Floral-print Dress

Start with a frothy floral print dress. Look for what are sometimes called “peasant dresses” that are midi- or maxi-length, with loosely woven, natural fabrics such as cotton. The dress can fit loose all around, or the bodice is fitted like a corset with a drawstring neckline or smocked top. Shop boho dress.

Layered Accessories

Add on the accessories. The boho look can include layers of belts in tooled leather and concho chains. On your wrists, try leather strap bracelets and groups of bangles. Necklaces get layered as well with pendants at different lengths and a variety of chain styles. Shop layered necklaces.

Finishing Touches

Before you head out the door, add your final touch with a wide-brim hat to complete the look. Throw on a crochet shawl for another layer for fall breezes that adds flow to the look. Then, ground it all with a pair of cowboy boots because the western touch always pairs well with the earthy vibes of boho. Shop wide-brim hat.

Now that you know how to build a boho look for fall, will you try it?
