Quick and Easy Reverse Fishtail Pigtails Tutorial
Fishtail pigtails keep your hair so neat and tidy and work for short, medium, and long hairstyles.
Here’s a simple reverse fishtail method that will have you rocking those fishtail pigtails in no time!
Tools and materials:
- Hair elastics
1. Create the reverse fishtail
I’ve started with one pigtail already done so you can see the final result.
Start by separating your hair into two equal sections with a center part down the back of your head.
Now, for one fishtail braid, separate that side of your hair into two sections as well.
Grab a small section of hair from the outside edge of the section of hair closer to the back.
Pass that small section behind your hair, and grab hold of it with your other hand.
Now you essentially have three sections, each with a different thickness, of course.
Grab a small section from the outside edge of your front section.
Pass it behind your hair to join the first small section you moved to the middle.
Repeat that braiding technique all the way done, until all of your hair has been incorporated into the braid.
2. Finish the pigtail
Braid as far down as you like, leaving whatever tail you desire.
Now you have a flat, pancaked fishtail braid pigtail.
Secure it with a hair elastic and use your fingers to loosen the braids a little, and you are all done!
