This bubble braid hack is for all my girlies who can’t braid! It’s super easy (I promise!) and it only takes a few minutes.

Follow along with this step-by-step tutorial.

Tools and materials:

  • Comb with pointed end
  • Brush
  • Hair elastics
  • Pomade
Sectioning hair

1. Part and section your hair

Part your hair down the middle using the pointed end of a comb.

Split your hair into 2 sections from the back, separating each section with your shoulders. Tie back the hair on the side you will braid later.

2. Make a small ponytail in the front

On the side where you want to start, separate a small section of hair at the front.

Note: You may want to leave out a strand on each side in the front for later.

Making high ponytail

Secure a high ponytail at your scalp with a hair elastic.

Then, add that ponytail to an equal section of hair right behind it, securing another elastic a few inches below the first.

3. Repeat until you reach your ear

Continue this process of making ponytails and adding them to the hair behind them until you reach a point behind your ear.

4. Continue with regular bubble sections

After your ear, just add elastics in equal increments until the end of your hair, leaving a tiny tail at the end.

5. Repeat all steps and style bangs

Now, repeat all the steps on the other side. If you left out some strands in the front, you can style them with pomade.
